UF Alpha-1 Specialty Clinic
Dr. Mark Brantly has a specialty clinic devoted to alpha-1 antitrypsin deficient patients two days each month. Dr. Brantly is a physician scientist, who has over 30 years experience researching alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency and caring for the alpha-1 community. To become a patient or receive a consult appointment in Dr. Brantly’s specialty clinic, please call (352) 265-0139 for a new patient appointment. Your local healthcare provider should send the referral form, along with copies of your medical records that pertain to your alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency diagnosis to our clinic. These records should include the following:
- Alpha-1 antitrypsin test results
- Pulmonary Function Studies
- Recent hematology, metabolic function & liver function tests
- All radiology (chest x-ray, CT scans, MRI’s) results
Once the referral has been faxed you may call the pulmonary clinic and clinic staff will further assist you.
