About Mariana E Kirst
I am a molecular biologist turned into genomics/bioinformatics. During graduate school most of my studies were focused in molecular and cellular biology of plants. After a short break to focus on my family, I pursued a post-doctoral training in genomics with a focus on microbiome and virology. More recently I have acquired bioinformatics skills that allow me to analyze next-generation data produced in microbiome and genetic association studies.
